Picture of Hugo jogging on white backgroundHere we are, halfway through the first week and I don’t think that there is a part of me that doesn’t ache. My biceps seem to be the worst of all, followed by my legs which have real difficulty climbing any set of stairs.

Jogging through the woods

Today’s training session was an hour of jogging and seeing as the weather had cheered up over here I decided to go cross country taking all the back routes through woods and a nice beach coastal run followed by more woods and rather more hills than I had remembered. If you are tired of training in the gym, then jogging is a welcome change. It’s good to be out in the fresh air and you get the benefit of enjoying the countryside.

My legs were weak

I will be honest it was not easy, my legs were still fairly weak from Day 2’s training and although I gave them the obligatory 24 hours rest, there was not much fight in them. This made any uphill jog almost unsurmountable and if I am honest (you’re being too honest today! - Beeble) I did have to walk up one hill. So strictly speaking I jogged for about 50 minutes and walked 10. Still I am happy with that and I have now set the pace for which I must beat next week.
