The Experiment

Author: hugo
07.03.2008

Beeble cartoon wearing science glasses and holding a test tubeOver the last 6 months I have been taking part in an experiment that I devised for myself. An ingenious experiment that involved me doing no exercise and eating what I want. (Sounds good, tell me more – Beeble.) Okay that wasn’t the actual experiment but it was my preparation for the experiment.

What is the experiment?

The plan was to get myself as unfit as I possibly could within 6 months by not exercising and taking the easy option for absolutely everything I did. I ate what I wanted when I wanted; I would not say that my diet was deliberately bad as I naturally eat reasonably well, however it did give me free reign on choices of food and drink. Well 6 months have passed now and so let the experiment begin.

Beeble celebrating his birthdayHappy New Year to you all! As well as it being the New Year with all the prospects that it holds, we are also celebrating the fact that Beeble is 1 year old.

One whole year of some really useful and exciting articles (if we do say so ourselves - Beeble) to help you through your journey of self discovery and "torture" in the gym. It has been a lot of work trying to fit it in and train all my clients, however your kind emails have made it worth it as it shows that my knowledge is actually helping you all in your quest for fitness.

Thank You’s

Of course I would not continue writing if it wasn’t for you, the reader, so a massive thank you to you all for coming back and supporting the cause for real information that can help you achieve your goals with no gimmicky quick fixes.

Cartoon of beeble in front of language booksIt hasn’t taken us long to realise that for many of our readers English is not their first language. So we have been busy trying to learn lots more languages so we can be read by our world-wide audience. After many many study periods that must have amassed to at least one whole day’s worth of work we have realised we are not up to the challenge!

So we have teamed up with Babel Fish who is much better at the translation than we are. You will find him in the right menu. All you need to do is click on the flag of the language you prefer to read in and the little Babel Fish is set off to work and in a matter of seconds you will have all our articles in your chosen language.

We hope you like it and more importantly we hope the translations are correct.

New Look Beebleblog

Beeble Working HardWe have now been going successfully for 10 months and we felt the time had come to upgrade our look and the way we operate it. We use "Wordpress" to run our blog and so have now upgraded to version 2.2 and whilst hopefully you will notice no difference to the way it runs, it has made our job 1000 times easier and so should allow us to bring you even more posts in the future.

New Design

The main difference regular visitors will notice is that the design has completely changed. Dark colours have been replaced with light, bright and friendly ones and we now cover more of your screen which will allow larger and clearer diagrams as well as video content.

This has taken a lot of time and you may notice a few more changes in the near future. However the most important bit….."the content" will remain the same which we hope has been useful and informative and will continue to help you.

Beebleblog Awarded!

Beeble holding trophyWoo Hoo!

All our hard work is now being rewarded by being nominated for a “Blogger’s Choice Award”. This is great news for us as it feels like we are finally getting noticed on the World Wide Web.

Alright it’s not quite as impressive as all that, for one I did have to nominate myself, which is a little bit sad and for two I have only received a small amount of votes so far, one of them being from my supportive but long suffering wife (we have no shame – Beeble).

I truly believe that beebleblog.com is helping people as we speak and is giving good relevant advice. It is not a claim that I make freely but I do gather this from all the kind and supportive emails that you have been sending in and from the ever increasing hits that we are receiving.
